Tiga Mata is a photography platform and biannual publication by Zontiga dedicated to photographic practices and perspectives from Southeast Asia.
Through open calls, publications and related programmes, Tiga Mata brings together photographers from across the region, creating a space for different ways of seeing and thinking through photography.
Kota Sepi Kota Sunyi is presented as a Tiga Mata Special Project, extending the platform beyond its regular publication programme through a photographic response to Sementara.
Sementara: Ahmad Zakii Anwar from the Steve Wong Art Collection is an art exhibition presented at GDP Campus from 10 October 2026 to 10 January 2027.
Bringing together works from the Steve Wong Art Collection, the exhibition traces almost two decades of Ahmad Zakii Anwar’s practice, including works from his still life, nudes, dancers, prints, meditations, animals, smokers, Kota Sepi and Kota Sunyi series.
Sementara, in Malay, carries two related meanings: temporary and while. The exhibition considers how nothing remains exactly as it is and how change does not only happen after a moment has passed—it is already taking place within the present.
Through Zakii’s work, Sementara invites us to look again and remain a little longer: not necessarily in search of a definitive answer, but to notice what we might otherwise disregard.
