Issue 5 Open Call – Selected works have been announced: View the details
For this issue, Tiga Mata invites photographers and image-makers from Southeast Asia to pause and reflect on photography itself, not as a fixed medium, but as something fluid, unstable, and continuously becoming.
Curated by guest editor Akkara Naktamna, this theme emerges from an ongoing inquiry into the shifting nature of images today. As photography moves across film, digital, and data-driven forms, it no longer exists as a singular, stable record. Instead, it flows through platforms and contexts, endlessly copied, recontextualised, and reinterpreted.
Tiga Mata is a bi-annual photography zine rooted in Southeast Asia, dedicated to showcasing bold, personal, and place-based visual narratives. Started by Zontiga, each issue revolves around a distinct theme and is curated in collaboration with guest editors, offering fresh perspectives that reflect the region’s diverse and evolving photographic voices.
With a strong focus on emerging photographers and artists, Tiga Mata is more than just a publication, it’s a space for reflection, experimentation, and dialogue. Grounded in community and craft, it celebrates work that expands the possibilities of Southeast Asian photography, where new perspectives take shape and honest stories come into focus
Each issue of Tiga Mata captures a unique moment, story, and perspective from the region. Complete your collection and revisit the evolving narratives that shape Southeast Asian photography.
